Can WebDT tablets run Bart PE ?

Right now I don't have the hardware to try by myself, but reading here that it's possible to install other operative system froms external (USB) CDROM drives, it occurred to me that it might be possible to run Bart PE too. If Bart PE (or even Win PE) can be customized to the hardware, would it no be a better alternative than XP embedded: no wear on the internal flash disk and still full Win32 application compatibility?

The usb port is version1.1. Not very fast at all. Even light forms of linux barely chug along on this method. The trick is to use the compact flash however windows is not able to boot to it as far as I know. On the linux side member evilbob just made a breakthrough in getting linux to boot from the CF card after mapping the Internal flash with specific methods.
