Pocket Office

Post by Elwgreen »

I have just ordered a 366. Does CE come with Pocket Word, Excel, and especially Powerpoint? If not can I download a copy somewhere?

In our windows section you will find the results of extensive searches for software to work on the DT's. CE not a standard build of windows and as a result we can find it on anything from remote controls (harmony) to Remote terminal clients (DT366). I am leaving this open for correction but I do not know of any office applications that will work on the DT.

In searching a little I found openoffice mobile that would stand a better chance however it takes 220 some megabytes to install. As the DT's only have a  500mb flash storage you may need to upgrade the storage chip to qualify it.

Software:

We have access to chips of larger varieties and even options to have them preloaded with operating systems. I dont watch the windows area too much so please pm me if your interested. Hope this is of some help.

Thanks, Quotaholic. I was wondering about the Pocket versions that run on Windows Mobile. I will keep checking also.

Saw a DT375 on ebay last night with an xscale cpu and it was advertised as including a few office apps. It has an arm/xscale cpu so it would have to be running winmobile. As all the DT366's are x86 cpu's these apps wont work on a 366. Possibly the seller has a line on those apps?..

I believe the WebDT 375 (Atigo M) is CE, or CE.NET 4.2:

Try this: http://portableapps.com/

I don't have CE on mine anymore but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Or just use Google docs online.

Sorry. Just noticed the system requirements at the bottom of the page. You could try it anyway.
