Thanks for your post. I was installing these around the year 2001 with the name Crestron on them as home automation controllers. I admire the MCE project more than I can say however in my studio apartment its hard to justify.

I am doing it in a room 2x2 meters:) Checkout the LMCE pages (wiki and forum), it has come a long way in a past year. If You are into HA and not into breaking walls and stuff, You can use Zwave, its RF and quite usable.
