Question

Post by tkdcompdude »

Hello everyone,

Note to all moderators before hand if this is not the right spot for this discussion feel free to move where it needs to go.

Okay, so I had a buddy of mine solder on the old connector onto a 8GB module that I had purchased.  First time in trying to install Windows XP it found the 8GB module and I did the standard formatting and went the normal process of installing Windows XP but then when it got to the first reboot of the OS it commented that the following: "No boot device present. Halting." .  At that point since I had some higher priority items going on that time I figured I would pick up on this project once things slowed down again.  So as for the update the installation of Windows XP has gone to the point of it stating it cannot locate a local hard disk.  So what I was wondering is if anyone had ever experienced this before and if you did how you achieved getting an OS back onto the WebDT.  Thank you in advance.
