Hey guys, man I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I keep getting
File \$WIN_NT$.~BT\biosinfo.inf could not be loaded.

The error code is 18

Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit.
I've tried: MicroXP > nLite (slipstream drivers) > pe2usb > 512 thumb drive
and
MicroXP > PEtoUSB/PE2USB > 512mb thumb drive

Basically I don't have an external CD drive.  I've done some looking around and it sounds like this is common with nlite installs, but I get it without nlite, and it doesn't sound like any of you guys are getting this!  What am I doing differently/wrong?

Also, the file is in there.  It comes with MicroXP, but it's in the i386 folder and I have no idea how to point setup to it.

I should clear up:

I got the BtnAgent working (I'm just a fail at that...)

But I am still having problems with the Bluetooth.

When I install the included Widcomm driver, it says it can't find the device.
I wanted to try to install the Microsoft Generic Bluetooth Stack, but I don't know if that's the best way to go, if a way even at that.

If anyone has any help with that, that'd be great.

PS, thanks plane_crazy, but your PM actually didn't help much. I guess I had a bad copy of Blue Soleil...

Thanks, but unfortunately I still receive the message "No bluetooth device found."

Not sure where to go from here...Nimblex never looked better right now TBH.

Hi...

I am happy to find this thread, telling about drivers for Microxp.

I have just installed Microxp V. 8.02 (XP Sp3) for my ancient laptop IBM T20. Ya. It works fine, but my PCMCIA card. There is no driver or adapter for it in devices manager.

And the link bellow is no longer public available!
All,

....

Here is what I have got on this thing.

Windows XP Pro SP3
Browzar - ?
MPlayer Classic - 5.4M (no install required)
Opera 9 - 5.6M
Click n Type Keyboard - 2.6M
7 Zip - 3.0M
Foxit PDF Reader - 6.6M
Flight Wizard - Flight Planning Software - 4.0M
K-Lite codec pak - 18.9M (ouch)
Windows Media Player runtime libraries - to play .WMV files
Notepad++ - 7.6M
Penmount Driver - 3.3M

499M Drive - 35.5M free
256M CF Card - 242M free (I may uninstall somethings and try to reinstall them on the CF card) I will go bigger here for more internal storage. Does anyone know the maximum size recognized in the CF slot??
4 GB - MicroSD to USB for storage (super slow transfers!!!)

I think I will image the drive once I get it set the way I want it then I can try Linux again without worry. But I gotta tell ya - if Linux were this easy everybody would be using it.

The link for the Zip file is:
http://www.adrive.com/public/150d11bf53 ... 90e97.html

Let me know if the link is OK. This is the first time I have used it.

Thanks to all,

Bruce

So what should I do to be able to user my PCMCIA card?

PS: my ancient laptop IBM T20. If I install full Window XP, there is driver for my PCMCIA Texas Instrument already.... And it works fine. Thanks

The problem with the A Drive link is unless you pay, the link only stays active for 30 days. I have just reactivated the link for the driver zip file. If you want other drivers mentioned elsewhere in my posts, PM me and I will provide a fresh link.

Here's the zip link: http://www.adrive.com/public/5c3769a216 ... 08e87.html

PCMCIA for Microxp workaround

Hi...

I am using my 3G Aircard (PCMCIA card) now to post this reply :D Here is wat I did. It seems to be not the best solution, but it works. And it may apply for others needed drivers. Hope it helps you save your time...

1. Ghost backup Microxp
2. Install a fresh XP sp3 which has got the needed drivers.
3. Install free driver backup (drivermax.com), backup all driver to a zip file.
4. ReGhost (extract) Microxp again.
5. (I am not sure this step needed or not...) Open folder eXperience
on the desktop of Microxp, go to folder "Driver tool" and click on
enable .reg file and all .bat file in Enable folder.
6. In Device Manager, just R_click on missing part and choose update
drivers, then browser to the folder which has got the backup driver
from XP sp3 by Drivermax.

Again thanks plane_crazy, and (Nick Dodd http://www.nickdodd.com/21) much, your guys willing to help giving me energy to test through this method. :D
Cheer!

I hope I'm posting in the right place here as I am really new to this.

I have tried various flavors of Tiny XP/MicroXP and while I did get some decent running builds with the occasional BSOD, I cannot get a proper wireless networking stack running despite having SP3 in both builds. It will identify and see the SSID of my routers (main being WPA2 protected and it shows in the wireless list, and a second old Linksys router running open with all security disabled).

The main problem I'm having is while I can see the router ID's and such, I can't pull a ip address from them on the Atigo GoPad S series. Not sure if I might be missing something or is there something wrong with the installed build?

As a recent learning experience, I found that a full version XP will not connect to a WPA2 PSK protected router without SP3 (had to slipstream my install disc as I have been using Boot Camp on my Mac to get a good build of Micro/Tiny XP working.) I almost want to blame the Mac hardware as I've had some weirdness along the way, but just thought I would cast a line out into the water hoping to catch some good info.

does any one else have problems with the audio drivers needing extra files that are not located on the  micro xp cd? This also causes issues with blue tooth because bt-audio utilities the audio card.

I have installed MicroXP on my unit using the above drivers, & it mostly works, with a couple issues.

1) The screen is at most 1/2 the brightness I was getting under CE, and when I run the brightness control the little bar graph comes up on the screen briefly then disappears.  What am I doing wrong?

2) I would like to reprogram the 4 way switch to run the mouse cursor, does anyone have any idea how to do this?

Thanks

Mike
