DT368 Bios

Have a tip or tweak that worked for you? This is the place to share it. In particular allocatable memory, flash card slot limitations and speeds as well as how to set up a toggle for outdoor viewable video.

DT368 Bios

Post by jm98 »

Playaround with DT366 and finally got DT368 last week from fleebay.  The DT368 bios date is 2004.  Ran biosupadteplus scan utility from phoenix tech. website.  The bios shows bad.  I am also having ACPI issues due to bios.  I also sent email to dt research but do not expect any help.

Is there a place to download latest BIOS?

It's a DT369 model as indicated in back.  Not sure if DT369 escaped from DT R. Lab out in the open.

Could be misprint, or something else, as I don't think a 369 existed..

Here is BIOS info. Note: major issues with ACPI.  Windows system log shows around 8 ACPI errors during each boot. The microsoft support page indicates upgrading BIOS to address ACPI errors.

BIOS upgrade is turning out to be big stonewall.  Can't use button agents and screen brightness features without BIOS upgrade...................................

I emailed dt research canada and dt research Taiwan regarding latest BIOS. Both replied with same BS "It's so old we removed all files from our server"...

I ran free bios scanner from phoenix bios site that redirects to eSupport. The BIOS shows BAD and asking for $$$ to install latest but most likely without any guarantee.

DT won't help people that bought a product off eBay, they only support their clients. Even then, they usually don't support the older models either for clients from what I was hearing.

Have you tried a reseller?

No I have not talked to any reseller.  Do you know any reseller that might assist and not shy away?  I can contact the reseller.

I'd try googling and seeing who all sells them, they try contacting a few different people.

Not sure if its simple process like PC for updating BIOS. Some senior members might have some insight to this.  I read on one thread that there is a special hardware for restoring BIOS. ????
