Was this an internal flash card? Which model did you get? I seem to remember reading somewhere (probably over at LinuxMCE) that the connector is low profile so normal Horizontal Flash modules like TS1GDOM44H-S will not work.
Thanks,
Dave.

Re: Can I boot from the CF card slot?
OK I did a simple but conclusive test to prove you can not boot from CF (without hacking bios at least). 1) Made bootable CF card (actually win98 with ghost) 2) Proved it booted OK using it as an external USB HDD USB --> External HD Enclosure --> Addonics CF-IDE Adapter --> CF Card 3) Set Bios to...

Re: ebay
I also just got one from laptops4me, it was missing most of the case screws so seemed very beat up put adding a couple of screws (salvaged from the flash card cover) and giving it a good clean fixed it right up. The add did indicate 512Meg memory but with some research all GX versions seem to be 256...

What Drivers Do I need
I am thinking of tuning one of the tiny Linux distro's to the DT 366, what drives and utilities are needed?
For example, what driver is needed for the touch screen, what is the best way to add an onscreen keyboard? What is the soundchip? etc?
Thanks,
Dave.

Anyone tried a tiny linux distro like DSL?
I was wondering if anyone has tried one of the tiny Linux distributions like Damn Small Linux or Puppy. DSL is about as small as they come and runs entirely from RAM so is super fast. (yes 256Meg is more than enough!) http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/index.html Puppy is more traditional with and bigger...

Backing up the contents of internal flash
Perhaps the block size is to big, dd may be padding out the original image and thus the restore will not fit on the other device. Try bs=512 on both the backup and restore.

Re: How to backup your current os on your Dt 366
It is worth noting that the above will not make a complete copy of your existing flash drive. Ghost is smart and will copy only what it thinks it needs. You can make it copy everything by setting the image copy type in Options. I believe the most complete is something like Image All and is a direct ...
