Re: DT360 not atigo s model
I can refresh the installation if you have the COA on the back of the unit. I have base images of WIN CE 5, Win XPe and Win XP Pro WEBDT Edition for both the 366 and the 360. I also have Linux images as well - you can dual boot as well with GRUB at boot up. You will have to send me your unit and,...

Re: Windows XP from a USB flash drive, hardware buttons troubles
I see a lot of people have downloaded the installation files for the display....any comments? Is it working for you?
Should I bother to leave this FTP server on? Is it useful to the group?

Re: Windows XP from a USB flash drive, hardware buttons troubles
Ace....I doubt it. There's a lot of users on here with more info usually. Setbright is the Windows app that changes the display brightness. That's a standard windows app. If yours is not working then you might have a corrupt or missing file or driver. Download this zip file and reinstall. ftp:/...

Re: Webdt 366 MicroWin Xp installation/ keyboard question
Common problem - you have too much load on the USB port. Use a powered USB port when you have a lot plugged in.
You could also pull the keyboard once you get the installation going. When you come to place that needs input, plug the keyboard in and then unplug until needed again.
Good luck, -Dave

That link is broken but if it's for a navigation program, try ROADNAV. It runs well on WEBDT. I use the ND100S USB GPS - find them on EPAY.

Re: IDE & ACPI Device Manager Questions
I didn't realize you were using XPe. I run XPe on the 256mb models - mostly the GXs. I run XP Pro on most of the LX models 256 or 512mb RAM. The new Puppy Linux V 5.20 released on Jan 6th 2011 works great on all models. It runs 100% in RAM and is fast. Use Opera for your browser for best perform...

Re: Windows XP from a USB flash drive, hardware buttons troubles
I have found a couple versions of the button manager and they both work with GX and LX processors with some limitations on the GX. The button manager has noting to do with the brightness utility unless you run it as a custom button setting that runs the SETBRIGHT utility. For both BTNMGR versions,...

Re: Windows XP from a USB flash drive, hardware buttons troubles
Sounds like you have the wrong drivers or bad drivers for the buttons and the LCD brightness. I have been running XP with no issues. If this is still an issue for you, contact me off the forum and I'll send you the drivers you need.

Easy fix when you mess with the CPU for overclocking but go too far. Or when you just make a stupid move....not me, of course. ;-)

Re: Internal Flash-IDE Upgrade
I installed the TRANSCEND 4GB unit today - works perfectly in my DT366 GX and the LX as well. I didn't like shaving it but I went slow and it all worked out fine. I found it on EPAY here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300499921635 The original module in the GX was not mark...

Re: IDE & ACPI Device Manager Questions
Not sure why you just don't install to the WEBDT as your test bed. Worked for me. I run a 366 GX and a 366 LX. The LX is a far better performer than the GX but they are both functional. The GX does a tri-boot of WIN CE5, Win XP Pro and Linux. I think I can get a dump from the XP device manager i...

Touch screen drivers and docs DT366 & others
I'm sure some know but for the rest of us that scour the web for drivers, the touch screen docs and drivers can be had here:
http://penmount.com.tw/
The DT366 has the PM9000. Docs and drivers for DOS to Win7 and *NIX.
Enjoy.

Re: BIOS or CMOS Reset?
You don't have to remove the battery for a semi-soft BIOS reset. Turn off your DT366, press and HOLD the power button. Keep holding for about 3 seconds and you will see the center LED come on. Keep holding it in maybe 5-6 seconds total and the left most LED will flick an the power will go off. T...
