Re: Rotate display/touchscreen
Good thing I made a ghost of the drive for things like this. 45 minutes and boom - right back where you were.

Re: Batteries
I took my battery apart tonight and measured 4.3 volts on each side. So the battery is definitely charged. But windows says the battery is 100% charge and shows it's state as "discharging" when plugged into AC. This is a real puzzler.

DO NOT USE THIS DRIVER!!!!!! It doesn't work and messes with your display settings. I am still trying to recover my settings. Oh well nothing ventured......

Re: MicroXP / XP drivers
The iso is just for burning the disc image for the cd. It is similar to a zip file. It's just a compression format. The Windows installer unpacks all the CAB files and installs them in the right place on the hard drive. I always format with a fresh install, less trouble that way.

Re: MicroXP / XP drivers
You can't ghost it onto the drive like that. You have to install it just like normal. Burn the CD and put the cd in the drive and boot it up. Format the internal drive and install. The drivers get loaded after just like you would for anything else. The drivers are not for anything that Windows needs...

Re: MicroXP / XP drivers
Same with me, I used an external cdrom as well. Installed everything in like 15mins. Had no troubles. Used a 4 port USB hub. It has power but for some reason my cdrom doesn't like it so I plug the power cord of the cdrom into my laptop usb port and all is good. Cdrom, keyboard and mouse and memory s...

Re: Batteries
I have been thinking exactly along the lines of your point #4 lately. Although the battery is new I have no idea how long it was sitting. It is not a DT Research battery. It is an aftermarket. I am no hardware expert but from what I know about L-Ion batteries they will slowly self discharge while si...

Re: Batteries
Jouri,
Is your external battery brand new? If it is where did you buy it? Did it ever work, or did it stop when you installed MicroXP?

Re: Really frustrated here!! with battery issues!!!
It won't run on the external battery at all. If you remove the internal battery and boot from AC then pull the AC power it will die immediately. But Windows does see it and tells me it's charged???

Re: Really frustrated here!! with battery issues!!!
So I tried another little experiment here. I reimaged CE back onto the drive, so it is back exactly as I bought it. Guess what - does the same sh-t. Says there is two batteries with the external at "Full". Drains the internal and shuts off!! I am seriously thinking I have a hardware issue ...
