Re: 310 Newbie
Glad the battery worked out. The Crestron TPMC-8X is a repackaged DT360 and since the 360 and 310 share the same battery, it's a great match. Buying an "official" battery from DTR would cost over $100. I have used dozens of these cheap Chinese clones and they work perfectly. Charge it up f...

Re: 310 Newbie
If you do not have the harddrive2 option in the boot menu then it is an old BIOS but don't worry about that for now. You need more storage space before you can do anything useful. There are several ways to go but I think the MK3006GAL (or smaller size) is the best option for cheap storage space. Whe...

Re: 310 Newbie
It's not the SATA model you need but the PATA model - MK3006GAL - like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/200796031817 Used they are $20-$30 and new they are $30-$40. Here's the data sheet: http://storage.toshiba.com/techdocs/MK3006GALUserGuide-Rev02.pdf The port on the right side of your tablet looks li...

I can't give you my software but this is how you do it yourself: http://www.eeeguides.com/2007/12/this-tutorial-will-show-you-how-to-slim.html This is for the eeepc but it is the same type of thing. Re: Installing Microsoft Windows on WebDT366
What is happening is there is not enough space to install everything you have selected in your NLITE version of XP. Two ways to fix it: Buy a larger flash drive with more space or use NLITE to trim out more things. Your list should not include Media Center, Keyboard drivers for other languages, driv...

Re: BIOS
The latest BIOS version for your hardware board level is usually the one in your tablet. Are you sure you want to update the BIOS or do you mean the OS? If it's really the WEBDT BIOS that you want to update then it should be done by DT Research directly or an authorized WEBDT service shop. The flash...

Re: 310 Newbie
You may want to reset the BIOS to the default settings. The setting for "software backlight control" should be DISABLED (the default) and then set the next setting to 100% brightness as I said before. Resetting the BIOS to the default will get out all the corrupt data from the dead BIOS ba...

Re: 310 Newbie
Easy fix.... Go into the BIOS and set the LCD display setting for "initial brightness" to "100%" instead of "last value" (the default). You get into the BIOS settings by tapping the F1 key as you power on and then select "motherboard device configuration" and ...

Re: Installing Microsoft Windows on WebDT366
Look at the guide here: http://nliteos.com/guide/part3.html The third screen image from the top you will see the section labeled "Requirements". You should set those to "DISABLED" so that XP will not run that check for HDD space or memory. Let me know your tablet specs and I can ...

Re: BIOS firmware for DT166/168
You have the latest version BIOS for a 1.0 board from my info. It will boot off a USB device when set to do so. With only 128mb of RAM you will be a little limited on your choice of OS. Most of the V1 boards had only 64mb of storage too so you'll need to upgrade that. Originally they were either shi...

Re: BIOS firmware for DT166/168
I have several BIOS images for the 166/168 as well as other WEBDTs. Tell me what board level you have and your current version of the BIOS. You can't load the newest BIOS version if you have an old motherboard - the BIOS versions are match to certain board versions. Your BIOS updater software will t...
