Re: microxp setup
Just curious if you've considered swapping the VIA 6656 pcie wireless card in your DT360 for something with better Linux support - looks like a ton of Intel units for less than $20 on ebay: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m38.l1313&_nkw=intel+mini+pcie+wireless&_sacat=See-...

Re: DT360, two variants - differences & observations.
If these 360's are using 5v on the ide connecter i should be able to connect a laptop HD just by modding a laptop ide cable to the shorter contact points no? I haven't verified amperage yet to confirm if a hard drive will run - I've only been testing the 5v DOM units that don't have the same ampera...

Re: Success - aftermarket Apacer ADM II 5v/90 degree DOM in my red DT360!
Since it looks like a normal 44-pin 5v 90 degree IDE DOM will work in the DT360 I'm planning to test one of the Super Talent series 2 units here: http://www.ewiz.com/query.php?categry=0&s=44pin+horizontal+ide&x=0&y=0 Note that there appear to be 2 models with significantly different spee...

Re: Success - aftermarket Apacer ADM II 5v/90 degree DOM in my red DT360!
While digging through the spare parts pile I remembered my Dell Mini-9 uses a mPCIe based STAC SSD hard drive.. in a "why not" moment I decided to swap this with the mPCIe VIA wireless adapter in my DT360...

Success - aftermarket Apacer ADM II 5v/90 degree DOM in my red DT360!
Hi, So after speculating that this would work I took a Dremel to an Apacer AP-FM1024A10C5G ADM II 1 gig flash module (5 v, 44 pin, 90 degree) DOM to knock 2mm off of the connector so it would fit in my red DT360 (same ones all over ebay right now). I then removed the master/slave jumper, swapped it...

Re: Flash Rom
Hang in there man, you have a solid community that is the ONLY consolidated source of user info/hacks/tips and tricks related to the DT36x devices I've found. Running a site like this without the benefit of advertising support is a lot of work and I would imagine your user base will hang in while y...

Re: Flash Rom
I did some digging in a few DT360's I have access to (posted in the Hardware forum, maybe that post needs to move here?) and verified there are two distinctly different hardware revisions available - the .10 and .12 mainboard revisions, plus at least one interim variant that looks like it might be a...

Re: Flash Rom
With all due respect I believe this is incorrect information, I've disassembled 3 x DT30 units and in all cases the digit that indicates voltage in the Apacer DOM part numbers that were factory installed compared with the Apacer part number scheme indicates the DT360 moved to a 5v DOM. Check out pag...

DT360, two variants - differences & observations.
Hi, New poster/forum member that's been lurking to learn about the DT360 but just started working with the hardware. I know most of you probably deal with the DT366 units but as the DT360's hit the secondary market and prices drop I'm assuming these will eventually become more common. My interest i...
