Yes, everything went well. I did order the same module as Vasko. I bought it from Transcend directly. I took a less destructive path and cut the corner of the connector off of the module instead of modifying the tablet. Slot 43 was on an end of the ide female connector so I snipped it off with some electronic snips and then cut the soldered connector off where it soldered on to the module. Shaved it down in height just as Vasko did and reassembled. The only negative is that the transcend module is still a little taller than the original module so it presses against the screen a tad making a bright spot on the screen where it is being pressed against. The good news is that it is very fast. On the LX hardware I left the jumper in making it a master module opposed to a slave. In linux we have a utility called hdparm and according to that tool I get~44Mb/s in read speeds.

So I don't think we heard a conclusion to your 4g upgrade quotaholic.
Did all go well?
Do you have some do's & don't with regard to installing on the 366?
Did you use the same ram as Vasko?

With you puppy version in a USB flash disk, I have even been able to load Team View and control my home computer from the WebDT366.

Not as of yet but I may just do that. On the DT366GX usb cf slot and other bus speeds would be prohibitive. On my DT366LX I have a 4gb chip that I am working on. Most of my recent efforts have been workin to compress via lzma, a file system in to a sub 500 meg installable image. Working on slackware as it has the right attributes and is a little faster than debian but I cant seem to get penmount working on version 13.1 (comes with blueman utility). Penmount is a PITA with strict adherence to xorg version and kernel versions. May have to go back to 13.0 and loose blueman to get there. Well see.

What about LVMing that thing with a 1G or 2G CF? You could have it boot off the internal drive, then use the CF with LVM to make a larger drive. And if it burns out from too many writes, just replace it. I think they are like $10 now.

Have you tried that yet?

This is very exciting. I'm can't wait to do a mem upgrade.
What hardware did you do the 4g upgrade to?

Has it been proble free with a 4 g available?

I get my DT-366 with the standart 512Mb NAND module, and after a lot of research i found the Transcent Module, than compare the characteristics of both modules and order the Transcent one from some local resellers. The local resellers didn't offer such a things like Free Probe :) ,they just sell it to me as a standalone component with some warranty about 2 years.

Although I am running linux I have the same tablet. Via has been busy lately releasing updated drivers. I am grabbing an access point through two concrete walls and over 60 feet away with 700kb/s speeds. Got the driver here:

I see that they have CE drivers too.

Hope it helps

I have one of the red 360s from eBay.  You know with the crappy via 6x WiFi card.  The range is just ridiculous.  I can be one room away and the connection will start bouncing.  So... are there any other pci express cards that have been tried and worked under win ce 5.0?  I know the fell 1450 will work but its not pcie.  Someone throw me a help.  I have searched quite a bit but no love....
